CHALLENGE
Propose a 2-bedroom house in an area of 98 sqm, with strong setback restrictions on all sides. Develop an appealing design that attracts both short and long-term rental visitors.
STRATEGY
The floor plan design of the house was largely influenced by its volumetric restrictions. A courtyard was strategically proposed to organize or unfold the volume of the house. The arrangement of spaces was oriented with respect to light and the natural elements of its surroundings. To provide identity and a distinguishing factor, a roof architecture inspired by origami was employed.
