CHALLENGE Design a family home on a sloping terrain with different natural terraces that would fit within moderate costs and accommodate up to 4 families. MAPP also participated from the lot approval stage, identifying its potential for project development.

STRATEGY A house was designed in the shape of an "X" with four “wings”: two of them parallel to the contour lines to optimize excavation, a third slightly disconnected from the rest of the volume, and a fourth perpendicular to the curves, allowing the social lounge to "hover" over the terrain. Three of the house's 2wings2 were designed as load-bearing walls to reduce costs, and the lounge is structured as a portal frame. The house relates to the nearby, mid-range, and distant views of the surroundings, always revolving around the dining area as the heart of the house.
