CHALLENGE

Design an architectural concept to inform the development potential of a private parcel of land within a developing regulatory framework. The ERU (Urban Renovation Enterprise in Spanish), a public institution, was responsible for developing the regulatory framework for "Ciudad del Río." At the time, the framework was in its early stages, and there was no formal documentation. The landowners, Prodesa, wished to generate a vision that aligned with the city's goals and vision while being feasible from a business perspective.

STRATEGY

Develop a potential design using massing studies that met the city's vision criteria, respected the environmental protection fringes, and included a progressive height for the buildings, allowing for a less intrusive but feasible intervention.
