CHALLENGE
Design an urban-landscape intervention that connects the city with a mega project of 160,000m2. Also, propose the integration of the project through pathways and leisure areas. The ground floor planting was designed over a 5,000m2 basement with green roof tecnology. Arecreational area of 3,000m2 was designed forroof top. The project currently holds LEED Platinum certification, which resulted in a demanding task of selecting and justifying plant species.
STRATEGY
Propose a journey experience that breaks away from parallelism, giving the impression of a vast meadow. Low and medium-sized vegetation outlines the silhouettes of people, contrasting with the city and the large building. Collaborating with Biologist Fernando Giraldo, a vegetation palette was designed, mostly native, to be resistant and facilitate the establishment of species.
